Persayes is now potty trained. I can not believe how easy it was with her. I was able to use her cousin Abbey as an example, and she wanted to be a big girl just like her. I am thinking about not putting diapers on her for bed time soon because when she wakes up her diaper is dry. I am so proud of her, but I have to remind my self to take her to the bathroom. I forget she's not wearing diapers when we go out.

Nice day on the Lake

My friends Dallis and Stacy just purchased a new boat last week. We decided to start spring break off right and took the boat on Utah lake. The water was way to cold to get into, but it was still fun to drive around. I am so excited to go wake-boarding and try surfing (with this boat you can surf behind it with out holding onto a rope) this summer. I forgot to bring a camera with me so here is a pic from my phone. It was so gorgeous out there today the water looked like a perfect mirror.

I need to know some people opinion on summer school for me :) My grant only covers two semesters a year and I have already used up one. Do I do summer school and figure out a way to pay for Fall semester, or do I just take the summer off and go back this summer- all opinions wanted and needed :)

I'm Back

I love looking at other peoples blogs. I have always thought how great it is that every one is basically making a journal to look back on. So why the heck have I stopped doing it? I don't know how many people will actually look at this and read it, but I am going to start blogging again about the fun Persayes and I have.
Persayes and I are living with my Mom now. It has been very nice being here with her since I am a single mother who is working and going to school- Oh yeah I finally started college. I am going to school to be a dietitian and I an deciding about going to law school after.
Persayes and I have been having a lot of fun. I can not believe how big my little girl has gotten and how grown up she is. She knows how to get what she wants, but I have been working on not giving into everything she wants. She was doing very well at going to the bathroom on her pink potty, but I think she has lost a little interest. My friend jokingly asked my why you don't put a child's nose in it and spank them like you do a dog, cause you know it works for a dog. I'm thinking about resorting to that one soon. I know I just need to actually work harder with her, but laziness kinda gets in the way.
Persayes also loves her cousins, especially Abbey and Charlie. Most mornings that is the second thing she asks for, the first is to watch Signing Time (shes obsessed.)I am so excited for this summer. I am thinking about getting another pass to Seven Peaks so we can relax in the sun and have a fall back plan if other plans fall through. I will also be doing summer school, probably at night so it doesn't interfere with my tan. Another thing Persayes loves doing is taking pictures with my camera. I caught her setting up her stuffed doggies the other day and snapping pictures of them in different posses.
I just got a new laptop and I do not have all my pictures on it yet so her are some recent photos of Persayes and I.

Garden Starters

This year I am planting my very first garden. Tim and I still do not have the garden area ready, even though my starters are ready. Right now I have a total of 71 starters and I am looking to get a couple of more that I forgot about. I have beans, snap peas, green and orange peppers, romaine lettuce, red leaf lettuce, cauiflower, broccoli, carrots, onions, eggplants, 3 types of tomatoes, zucchinni, cayenne, watermelon, cantelope, cucumbers and a couple of herbs. I am so excited to see the fruit of my labor :)

I finally did it

Persayes is now 16 months and in the habit of sleeping with Tim and I, being nursed to sleep, and nursing through the night. We love having her in bed with us, but I was ready to have her be more independent. Friday night I put her in her crib to cry herself to sleep. Tim was not supportive of me doing it so between that and Persayes screaming it was a sad night. She only cried for 45 min. before she fell asleep. She did wake up 3 times during the night to nurse and cried for 5 min. once I put her back into bed. I don't want to do too much at once so I am going to start weaning her from nursing during the night after I have her comfy sleeping on her own. Last night when I put her down in her crib she only cried for 15 min. before she feel asleep. It was such a relief to finally do this. I was so worried that she was going to feel abandoned with how old she is, but I think she is doing good. She is just hesitant of her crib now. I can now say my beautiful crib is getting some use out of it.

Going Raw

Last week I did a 3 day juice cleanse. It was a long 3 days but it was nice to get it over with. I have been able to kick my sugar addiction because of it and I am going 75% raw. My goal is to eat breakfast and lunch raw, and eat a healthy dinner. I have a great cook book that I am using and it seems so easy and yummy to do now. I think I am going to gradually introduce Tim and Doug to the food and hope they like it. I'll post some good recipes when i come across them.

Since I have not been that great with posting I decided to post some pictures from the past month:
Every year we go to the festival of lights with Tims family. It was so cold, but worth it to see the look on persayes face.

christmas day we opened presents with tims brother, Doud, who lives with us. Persayes wasnt very into open them on christmas, but she loved playing with them after.

tim gave me the best gift ever. He made me a nice frame, and gave me a certificate for persayes and I to get some pictures done together to put in the frame

we went to the draper open house with my mom and sister crystal. persayes doesnt look happy in the picture but she looked so cute that day. The temple is so pretty. i have made it a goal this year to go to the temple.

Persayes is finally feeling better. I think it will take acouple of days for the smell of garlic and herbs to leave my house.

Tonight I was looking through pictures of Persayes when she was a tiny baby. I can not believe how big she has gotten. She is such a fun little girl now. She has such a fun personality, she loves doing her sign language, doing a corney laugh so we will laugh at her, and waiting on the stairs so we will chase her up. I love my baby girl so much.

My poor baby girl has been sick the past two days. of course that means no sleep for mommy or daddy. she has had a runny nose, cough, and feeling just plain horrible. I can not wait for this inversion to leave so i can have my happy girl back again.

For Christmas my Dad gave all his kids a flip camcorder. It is the easiest thing to use and it makes it so easy to upload video to the web. I totally recommend it.

Persayes has walked like a pro while we are holding her hand forever, she has just been too scared to do it herself. Out of the blue tonight she started walking like she has been doing it forever. it was so fun to see how excited she would get.

Pumpkin Patch

My sister Courtney asked Persayes and I to go to the pumpkin patch with her a couple of weeks ago and I ma just now blogging about it. We went on a hay ride, picked apples from the orchard and than played with the pumpkins. We had so much fun.
Next week is Persayes birthday. Moember 6th. I can not believe my little baby girl is going to be a year. It blows my mind how fast it has gone. Persayes is in love with climbing the stairs now. I can not take my eyes off her for one minute with out her heading to the stairs. Sometimes she will wait at the bottom until I find her, she than gets all excited, laughs, and heads up the stairs. Tomorrow is our first Halloween as a family. We are all going to be pirates. I will Post some pics in a few days.

Bath Time

Persayes loves baths. Every time I turn the water on she gets so excited and starts clapping and laughing. When she is in the water now she splashes so much that I walk away soaken every time. She is so much fun.
Her two new favorite things to do in my bedroom:
1- Get into the laundry basket after she has pulled everything out.

2- Wrap her self in the drapes.

my brother who is a photographer was visiting the end of july. so it has been so long since i have posted a blog. alot has happened. our whole family was sick:( not very much fun. Persayes started saying da da the next day she said ma ma and she also started to say dog. than yesterday i was making her laught and i noticed a tooth coming in. i just hope she doesn't bit with nursing and all. i have a bunch of new pics of her but my camera is down stairs and i don't feel like getting it right now:) i will post some soon.oh and the best news ever- court and her family is back in utah- i missed them so much and i have been having a blast hanging out with them

I'm a Big Kid Now

Hey I'm 6 months old and look what I can do:
Persayes is sitting up on her own now. She sometimes forgets that if she tips over she falls, so I still stay close by when she is sitting. She started eating cereal at 5 months. She cracks up laughing all the time now, and she loves being thrown up in the air. I finally started having her sleep in her room, but Tim and I are sure not sleeping good now:) and she usually ends up in our bed half way through the night. She is such a sweet heart. She now knows the sign for milk and eat. She gets so excited when I sign milk to her and she wants some. My computer is not letting me post pics.

well I turned 25 on Friday. I feel so old:) I had a fun birthday. On thursday my Friend Lisa took me out to lunch to the Pizza Factory. It was very yummy and they gave me a free pizza in the shape of 25.

Than on Friday my friend Mardi took me out to Breakfast to Ihop. thank you lisa and Mardi. I had so much fun celebrating with you two. thank you also to my mom for taking me to the cracker barrel for some cake- yummo.

So I was in the bathroom last night washing out a paint brush and tim called me into the tv room. When i went in Persayes was lying on her tummy. She Rolled over. I was so excited but so sad that I missed seeing her do it. than today i was sitting on the floor by her on her blanket and i look down and she was on her tummy again- once again I missed. thankfully she did it again right after so I saw my baby roll over onto her tummy. she doesn't like being on her tummy though so she gets all fussy until I help her roll back.

Here are some pictures of Persayes. I have so many on my camera and it is very hard to decide which ones to post.

She is now 3 months old. I love her so much and I love being an at home mommy. We have to much fun together.

Well bad news for me- she is getting her teeth. They have not yet broken the skin but you can see and feel them. Keep your fingers crossed for my sake that she isn't a bitter.

Yes Persayes nursery is still not done. I decided after it was done to add white stripes to the wall so I am still working on it. I go through motivated spurts. Some days I will work on it and others I wont. I have been doing some craft projects for her room. I love doing them for her room. She is going to have the most decorated room in the house.

Here is a pic of her pink, black and white wall with her crib. The bed on the right is pulled away from the wall quite a bit. It is not that close to the crib.

This is the guest bed that is in the room. It is so comfy.

I found these chipboard letters at Roberts so I got scrapbook paper and glued it on and finished them with ribbon.

And here is her little "Time out" chair I got at Roberts and painted. I am not sure if I like the black on it but it is a pain to paint over so it might stay this way.:)

My Steal from WalMart

Tims brother gave me a swing for Persayes for my birthday. Tim hooked it up to the wall but blew a fuse in the process. my Mom and I decided to return it to Wal Mart and exchange it for a more girly one. I found one i really liked that was more unisex. It was priced at $59.00. We brought it up to buy and it rang up for $109.00 We went and grabbed the price tag that said $59.00 and they gave it to me for that price. So with the exchange of the other swing I only paid $20.00. I love it when that happens:) Persayes loves it and now i can get so much done during her nap time.

wow persayes is 2 months. she has already out grown some of her pj's and luckily walmart had some on clearance when I went yesterday.

she has the longest curliest eyelashes.

she loves when i sing " baby mine" to her from dumbo. i sing it to her while she is crying in the car and she usually calms down. she also likes child's prayer. she smiles and laughs all the time now. i am so excited that's she will have some new cousins this year. i love her so much and i can't imagine life with out her now.

Persayes is 1 month. I can not believe how fast the time has gone by. She has grown so much. At her 1 month apt. she was 8.5 lbs and 22.5 inches long. She smiles so much now and is starting to get vocal. I love her so much and i wish everyone has a chance to spend some time with her ( courtney:)

Persayes first bath

We gave Persayes her first bath and she loves it. I have giver her many since and she never cries. I think she likes how warm it is. I am still waiting for the day when she goes to the bathroom in the water.

Persayes Ella

She is finally here. Persayes Ella was born November 6th at 9:48 am after 7 hours of labor. My midwife said I did so goos and to expect my next labor to be around 4 hours. I had her at home and Tim and I loved it. She was 7 lbs, 21 inches long. We are so excited to have her.
